Buzz Into Fun: Sign Up for our First Annual Spelling Bee!

We invite you to be a part of our Spelling Bee happening at the 2026 Booksville Festival. Simply fill out the form on this page to sign up your student as a participant. Information will be emailed regarding the set time of day and instructions on participating closer to the event. Questions? Email barryzmeindl@gmail.com.

How It Works

Each participant will be given a word to spell aloud after hearing the word, its definition, and a sample sentence. Spellers must spell the word in one continuous attempt – no restarting, pausing, or changing letters once spoken.

This is a single-elimination competition: if a speller misspells their word, they are out. The rounds continue until only one finalist remains in each division.

Prizes

• $100 for the first-place winner in each age category

• $50 for the second-place winner in each age category

• A Booksville keychain for every participant
